In recent years there have been a number of popular and potent public figures who have been ‘outed’ as predators and abusers. Rather than shy away from a potential cultural taboo, we need to address these problems that are so deeply intrenched in our society, and come to a certain understanding of why and how these things occur.
Exploring the innate predatory nature that exists in males, Shepherd’s Pie raises questions of empathy and morality that, rather than answer in the film, offers the audience a chance to come to their own conclusions.
