Hossein ‘Hoss’ Khodabandaloo is a passionate cinematographer and storyteller.
Specialising in human stories and narrative-driven content, Hoss focuses on crafting authentic and polished visuals across various formats. His portfolio reflects a wide ranging body of work, including a feature documentary for SBS, an experimental XR installation showcased at MIFF 2024 and a horror proof of concept for Amazon Prime India. Hoss has also had the privilege of working on successful vertical soap operas that have set new benchmarks on TikTok and other streaming platforms.
In the advertising world, Hoss has contributed to campaigns for esteemed brands like Nike, Netflix, Mercedes-Benz and Domain, earning recognition such as an ACS Bronze Award. His work has been featured at major festivals and highlighted in Australian Cinematographer magazine. As a director, he was honoured with a nomination for Best Direction at the 2024 ADG Awards and shortlisted at Cannes Lions for his Public Transport Victoria campaign.
