About
Hossein "Hoss" Khodabandehloo is a long form cinematographer working across drama, documentary and experimental film. He also directs and shoots commercial and brand work. His craft is grounded in observation and performance. The camera as an active witness rather than a spectacle and that same instinct carries across every project, whether he's serving another director's vision as DOP or shaping the work from the director's chair.
He's drawn to bodies under pressure, moments of hesitation, and the quiet dynamics that shape how people move through systems, culture, and everyday life. That sensibility has earned him three Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) Awards, an Australian Directors' Guild (ADG) nomination, and a Cannes Lions shortlist.
